Aaldries Bijsma
Hello! My name is Aaldries Bijsma and I am one of the gymnastics trainers of STUGG. I have graduated from the studies ALO (academy of physical education), where I also got my trainers license.
Meanwhile, I have about twelve years of experience as a gymnastics trainer, and I teach two nights a week at STUGG.
After doing gymnastics for a few years at STUGG myself, I took over as a trainer. Now, we have formed a nice team of trainers with different expertises and a fantastic gymnastics hall, where the different expertises of all the trainers can flourish.
Also, I am still an active member of STUGG and train a few hours a week myself.
Jorn Boerrigter
Hi,
My name is Jorn and I am 25 years old. I have been a trainer of STUGG for three years now and I am still having an amazing time. When I was younger, I did gymnastics at a high level and I try to use this expertise when I am teaching. At the moment I am still busy studying to become a sports teacher, which of course perfectly matches with teaching in the gymnastics hall. Besides gymnastics, I also practice beachvolleybal and am a bartender at the Tox Bar. This is the main nightclub on Schiermonnikoog, so if you are ever on Schiermonnikoog, don’t hesitate to stop by.
Lisa van Dolder
Hi! My name is Lisa and I am trainer during the beginners practice on Thursday. I have been doing gymnastics myself since I am five years old, but I am better at explaining how to do it, than doing it myself haha.
What I like the most about gymnastics is the small victories that can be experienced when learning a new element or when conquering a fear. Therefore, during the practices, I like to focus on the basics, so you can learn more and everything becomes less scary. While doing so, I hope to put into practice some of the things I have learned during my studies Human Movement Sciences!
Richard de Jonge
Hi! My name is Richard de Jonge, and since 2023, I have been the trainer of the beginners' group for men at STUGG, and during these hours, I also coach the advanced men's group. I am 32 years old and used to do gymnastics myself from the age of 9 until I was 28. During my studies, I also trained at STUGG for a few years.
I studied Sports and Health at Hanzehogeschool, where I obtained my foundation year diploma, and then I switched to Physiotherapy, also at Hanzehogeschool. In 2016, I obtained my bachelor's degree in physiotherapy and shortly after, I started working as a physiotherapist. In addition, I have previously worked as a fitness instructor, personal trainer, movement and lifestyle advisor, and since I was 14, I have also been giving gymnastics training at several clubs.
I try to incorporate all my knowledge and experience gained over the years into the training sessions I give to the men and hope to bring out the best in every gymnast!
